‘Dueling Divas’

Gloucester Stage Company, 267 East Main St., will present “Dueling Divas (... and a Dandy!) Cabaret” with Kathy St. George and Kerry Dowling on Aug. 28-31, 8 p.m.; Aug. 31, 3 p.m.; and Sept. 1, 4 p.m. Daniel Robert Sullivan, from the national tour of “Jersey Boys” “officiates” this battle for center-stage which features songs from the Great American Songbook, including “There’s Nothing Like A Dame,” “What You Don’t Know About Women” and more. Limited amount of discount tickets ($20) available to year-round Cape Ann residents on Wednesday and Thursday performances. Advance reservations strongly suggested, and proof of residency required. Youth choir auditions

Auditions for the 2013-14 season for the Honors Youth Choir of Chorus North Shore will be held Thursday, Sept. 12, 4 p.m., at the First Baptist Church, 2 High St., Rockport, and Thursday, Sept. 19, 3:30 p.m., at Ascension Memorial Church, 31 County St., Ipswich, followed by the first rehearsal. Auditions are open to all youth ages 10 through high school. The choir is sponsored by Chorus North Shore and is tuition free for youth.

Women’s Guild

The Holy Family Parish Women’s Guild will meet Tuesday, Sept. 3, 7 p.m., in the parish hall of St. Ann Church. All members, and women 18 and older are welcome to attend. This month the guild will focus on back to school. Bring a photo of yourself when you were in school, as well as a food donation for the St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry. A social time follows.

CATA student passes

CATA Student Bus Passes are scheduled to be sold in the Gloucester High School atrium on these dates: Aug. 28-30, 1 to 4 p.m.; Sept. 3, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sept. 4-6, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Passes will not be sold at the CATA office during this time period. The Pass Plus, Unlimited Semester (Fall or Spring) Pass and Unlimited Annual Pass will be on sale. The Unlimited Semester (Fall or Spring) Pass and Unlimited Annual Pass are photo IDs (students must be present at the time of purchase). Cost is $200 for the Unlimited Annual Pass; $100 for the Unlimited Semester (Fall or Spring) Pass; $25 for the Pass Plus. Cash or check accepted. Call CATA at 978-283-7916.
