Rockport Goings On

CAAA fundraiser

Join Kaminski and Heath’s Tea Room in Rockport for an afternoon tea and an appraisal on Wednesday, Sept. 11, from 5 to 7 p.m., to benefit Cape Ann Animal Aid. Cost is $25 per person and includes a verbal appraisal for one item, one scone, four tea sandwiches, one beverage and one tea treat. CAAA golf tournament

The third annual Christopher Cutler Rich Golf Tournament to benefit Cape Ann Animal Aid will take place Monday, Sept. 23, at Bass Rocks Golf Club, Gloucester. Features a day of golf, followed by a celebration dinner with awards, prizes and a live auction. RAA workshops

The Rockport Art Association, 12 Main St., will offer these workshops:

Sept. 7-8 — Fearless Fluid Workout Water Medium Workshop with Robert Noreika. Cost is $175 for members, $200 for nonmembers. Watercolors and fluid acrylics used.

Sept. 14-16 — Oil Landscapes with Stapleton Kearns. Cost is $275 for members, $300 for nonmembers.

‘Cabaret’

Theatre in the Pines will present the musical theater presentation of “Cabaret,” directed by Nan Webber, Sept. 13 and 14, 7:30 p.m., and Sept. 15, 3 p.m., at the Shalin Liu Performance Center, 37 Main St. For tickets, stop by Toad Hall Book Store, 47 Main St., Rockport; or The Bookstore, 61 Main St., Gloucester.

Energy workshop

The Rockport Senior Center will hold a free Home Energy Workshop Sept. 9, at 10:30 a.m. Find out how to save money and energy with a free program called Mass Save. Most Massachusetts residents already pay for energy improvements on their utility bill. You just have to sign up to access them. Get ready for winter and maybe lower your bills.
