Mass. DA: Tuesday news conference on bones found

BARNSTABLE — Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe plans to discuss details on skeletal remains that were found in Falmouth last week.

O'Keefe plans a news conference for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Barnstable police headquarters. His Monday announcement didn't reveal any details.

O'Keefe and Falmouth police said Friday afternoon that crime scene specialists were removing the bones for analysis by the state medical examiner.

The prosecutor said the new investigation began after authorities got a report that possible human bones were found in a wooded area of Falmouth.
