Fish Landings

Cape Ann Seafood Exchange

The Cape Ann Seafood Exchange handled 7,300 pounds of fish Tuesday but no landings report was received Wednesday.

Top species landed Tuesday and average prices were:

Market cod: 3,700 pounds ($2.18)

Scaler cod: 800 pounds ($1.71)

Large cod: 700 pounds ($3.74)

Skate wings: 500 pounds (98 cents)

Blackbacks, 1 to 2 pounds: 300 pounds ($1.98)

Other landings

The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 50,700 pounds of fish and 2,500 pounds of scallops Monday, and 21,000 pounds of fish and 27,900 pounds of scallops Tuesday.

The Portland, Maine, Display Auction handled 8,400 pounds of fish Monday and 26,900 pounds of fish Tuesday.

No landings were reported Tuesday or Wednesday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
