Fish Landings

Cape Ann Seafood Exchange

The Cape Ann Seafood Exchange handled 9,800 pounds of fish Wednesday.

Top species landed and average prices were:

Market cod: 5,200 pounds ($1.95)

Small yellowtail: 1,400 pounds (88 cents)

Large cod: 1,100 pounds ($4.16)

Scaler cod: 800 pounds ($1.72)

Blackbacks, 1 to 2 pounds: 300 pounds ($1.76)

Other landings

The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 62,600 pounds of fish and 56,100 pounds of scallops Tuesday.

The Portland, Maine, Display Auction reported no landings Tuesday, but handled 2,400 pounds of fish Tuesday.

No landings were reported Wednesday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
