The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 94,500 pounds of fish and 73,600 pounds of scallops Wednesday.

Top species landed and average prices were:

Scallop 10 to 20 Mid Atlantic: 33,000 pounds ($10.78)

Scallop U12 dayboat: 24,000 pounds ($12.18)

Scrod cod: 15,300 pounds ($1.62)

Market cod: 13,300 pounds ($2.39)

Small haddock: 10,900 pounds ($1.34)

The Portland, Maine, Display Auction handled 7,000 pounds of fish Thursday.

No landings were reported Thursday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
