The Cape Ann Seafood Exchange handled 68,700 pounds of fish Wednesday but handled 39,900 pounds of fish Thursday.
Top species landed Thursday and average prices were:
Medium and small pollock: 19,200 pounds (62 cents)
Ocean perch: 12,200 pounds (50 cents)
Market cod: 5,200 pounds ($1.41)
Large pollock: 1,600 pounds ($1.02)
Scaler cod: 700 pounds ($1.26)
Other landings
The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 79,100 pounds of fish and 3,000 pounds of scallops Wednesday.
The Portland, Maine, Display Auction handled 31,100 pounds of fish Wednesday.
No landings were reported Thursday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
