Fish Landings

Cape Ann Seafood Exchange

The Cape Ann Seafood Exchange handled 8,500 pounds of fish and 300 pounds of scallops Wednesday.

Top species landed and average prices were:

:Large monkfish (head on): 5,900 pounds (46 cents)

Blackbacks (1 to 2 pounds): 1,100 pounds ($1.51)

Small yellowtail: 1,000 pounds (46 cents)

Large monktail: 500 pounds ($2.67)

Market cod: 400 pounds ($4.07)

Other landings

The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 24,700 pounds of fish and 118,700 pounds of scallops Tuesday.

The Portland, Maine, Display Auction handled 5,000 pounds of fish Tuesday.

No landings were reported Thursday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
