Fish Landings

Cape Ann Seafood Exchange

The Cape Ann Seafood Exchange handled 5,900 pounds of fish Friday.

Top species landed and average prices were:

:Large monktail: 1,200 pounds ($2.30)

Small yellowtail: 600 pounds (87 cents)

Large pollock: 400 pounds ($2.86)

Blackbacks (1 to 2 pounds): 400 pounds ($1.45)

:Large monkfish (head on): 400 pounds ($1.20)

Other landings

The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 23,600 pounds of fish and 63,600 pounds of scallops Wednesday.

The Portland, Maine, Display Auction handled 5,000 pounds of fish Tuesday.

No landings were reported Friday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
