Fish Landings

Cape Ann Seafood Exchange

The Cape Ann Seafood Exchange handled 7,900 pounds of fish Monday.

Top species landed and average prices were:

:Blackbacks (1 to 2 pounds): 1,500 pounds ($1.57)

Yellowtail: 1,400 pounds (96 cents)

Whiting: 900 pounds (74 cents)

Blackbacks (2 pounds and more): 800 pounds ($2.22)

Small greysole: 500 pounds ($2.09)

Other landings

The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 82,800 pounds of fish and 78,400 pounds of scallops Friday.

The Portland, Maine, Display Auction handled 20,300 pounds of fish Sunday.

No landings were reported Monday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
