Fish Landings

Cape Ann Seafood Exchange

The Cape Ann Seafood Exchange handled 10,500 pounds of fish Friday.

Top species landed and average prices were:

Market cod: 4,100 pounds ($2.08)

Small yellowtail: 2,200 pounds ($1.12)

Large yellowtail: 800 pounds ($1.22)

Blackbacks, 1 to 2 pounds: 800 pounds ($1.46)

Large cod: 700 pounds ($2.98)

Other landings

The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 18,500 pounds of fish and 17,500 pounds of scallops Thursday.

The Portland, Maine, Display Auction handled 1,900 pounds of fish Thursday.

No landings were reported Friday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
