Fish Landings

Cape Ann Seafood Exchange

The Cape Ann Seafood Exchange handled 43,400 pounds of fish last Thursday, 31,500 pounds Friday, 58,000 pounds Monday, 33,700 pounds last Tuesday, and 28,200 pounds of fish yesterday.

Top species landed Wednesday and average prices were:

Large hake: 10,200 pounds ($1.67)

Sow hake: 3,400 pounds ($2.22)

Large monktail: 2,200 pounds ($3.66)

Medium hake: 2,100 pounds ($1.61)

Small greysole: 2,000 pounds ($2.05)

Other landings

The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 13,200 pounds of fish and 2,000 pounds of scallops Tuesday.

The Portland, Maine, Display Auction reported no landings Tuesday, but handled 17,200 pounds of fish Thursday.

No landings were reported Wednesday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
