Top species landed Monday and average prices were:
Medium and small pollock: 22,500 pounds ($1.12)
Market cod: 10,000 pounds ($2.57)
Ocean perch: 8,100 pounds (52 cents)
Large hake: 5,300 pounds ($1.46)
Large monktail: 3,500 pounds ($2.12)
The Buyers And Sellers Exchange (BASE), an electronic auctioning company that sells landings at owner Whaling City Seafood Display Auction in New Bedford, Boston’s Whaling City Auction, and Gloucester’s Whaling City Auction, handled 7,100 pounds of fish and 30,900 pounds of scallops Friday, and handled 158,200 pounds of fish and 10,900 pounds of scallops Monday.
The Portland, Maine, Display Auction handled 52,100 pounds of fish Sunday, but handled 36,500 pounds Monday.
No landings were reported Monday and Tuesday at the New England Fish Exchange in Boston.
