The Gloucester High School robotics team will be competing in a NASCAR-themed robot competition in Boston in March. The students will use the robot to compete in a race that will require speed and the ability to lift or kick a large ten-pound ball over bars 6.5 feet above a track. But it's not the competition that is important to the students. Many who have not excelled in regular classrooms have benefitted from the hands-on learning they get from the robotics program.
