Memories or moments that show what makes the Class of 2009 special and unique, according to Class Advisor Gloria Tanner:
This class if very united and cares very deeply for each other. Out of the 98 students in the class, at least 9 of them have lost a parent before reaching this point in their lives. They have dealt with serious issues together at a very young age and they have learned to be kind to one another and appreciate what is important.
This is what I call my "we broke the curse!" class. As their English teacher when they were in grade 8, I had the extremely joyful opportunity to share the wild roller coaster ride that was the Red Sox 2004 championship season. It was that bonding experience that made me agree to be their class advisor for four years when I moved to the high school level from middle school the next year. They are an extremely fun group.
