Letter: Step up now to forestall Fort 'disaster'

To the editor:

Duped and grouped on the City Council, they sat helplessly by and watched themselves sign away the Fort to Beauport Gloucester, LLC.

Right again, Mr. Verga: there are no heroes on that panel!

Now is when the heroes step up — to forestall disaster and assure that this hotel project achieves the ultimate of its dubious potential.

I refer, of course, to the residents, successful businesses and their myriad devoted supporters that call the Fort home.

To the “rats leaving a sinking ship,” I say, “Good-bye. Go fail someplace else.”
