Letter: Benghazi case truths and falsehoods

To the editor:

Mr. Mahieu (Letters, the Times, Saturday, June 29) must subscribe to the idea that, if you repeat a lie often enough, it will believed.

At the time of the Benghazi attack, the president was not missing for eight critical hours. And Congress, in truth, is not issuing subpoenas; Darrell Edward Issa, a Republican hack in the tradition of Joe McCarthy style politics, is simply abusing his position as chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee in issuing its subpoenas.

The big picture is that President Obama easily got re-elected and our next president easily will be Hillary Clinton in spite of how many fake scandals Darrell Issa and Fox News try to come up with.
