Letter: Maintenance will be key to Newell

To the editor:

I have been reading the articles on the Newell Stadium reconstruction project with great interest.

I applaud the fund-raising efforts and the fine work of the people and committees involved.

The only other comment that I would like to make is this: Get a signed contract from the city and/or School Committee that funding will be available to maintain the new stadium, or it will look like the old one in five years.

We all know the city’s “track” record for maintenance on anything.
