Letter: Fonvielle is best choice to lead Ward 5

To the editor:

We are writing to ask Ward 5 voters to elect Bill Fonvielle as our ward city councilor.

Bill Fonvielle has already proved his commitment to Gloucester. As a longtime resident, he’s been so very generous with his time, as has his wife, Carole Sharoff.

Bill gets that education, literacy, and the arts are essential for a strong economy, successful futures and a good quality of life. So it’s no surprise to find him as a board member of the Sawyer Free Library and Cape Ann Symphony, or helping Gloucester schools for nearly 20 years — West Parish and O’Maley in particular.

Bill’s own education includes an MBA in Public and Private Management. He has vast experience in the private sector, helping businesses of all types and sizes succeed.

He shares his skills by chairing the Gloucester Plan Implementation Review Committee, something he’s done for 12 years.

In short, he’s a man who works with facts and listens to people.

He can be trusted to be a strong advocate for Ward 5 and to work with others to solve complex issues. We’ve come to know this as we’ve gotten to know and appreciate this good, kind, smart man.

Please vote for Bill Fonvielle this Nov. 5.
