Letter: Fonvielle's service bodes well for Ward 5

To the editor:

I am writing in support of the election of Bill Fonvielle for Ward 5 city councilor.

Bill has an impressive 20-year track record of dedication and service for our schools, and in our civic and cultural life. He can get good things done on behalf of our city!

Among his other civic commitments is his service on Board of Directors of the Gloucester Lyceum and Sawyer Free Library, where I have had the pleasure of serving alongside him. I have been consistently impressed with his ability to work productively and cooperatively with a group. He listens respectfully, speaks out of practical intelligence and helps the group come to a common mind for the greater good.

These qualities, along with his generosity of spirit and good sense of humor, should be put to use on our City Council, where he would be an excellent representative of Ward 5, and an invaluable player on the council team.
