Letter: Has publicity replaced true reality?

To the editor:

A strange thing has taken place.

Publicity does not seem a strange thing. But when repeated talk of something becomes more important than what is talked about, a strange thing has happened.

It is as if there are no poems anymore, for example, just a lot of talk about poetry.

Publicity, have you replaced reality?
