Letter: Marine Fisheries an agency of shame

To the editor:

National Marine Fisheries — shame on you.

For years you have been slapping our fishermen in the face.

National Marine Fisheries — shame on you.

You have proven to be a total disgrace.

National Marine Fisheries — where are those thieves among you?

Where have they gone? They should all be in jail.

National Marine Fisheries — shame on you.

There is something terribly wrong.

Jane Lubchenco, you finally stepped down. I wonder why?

Could it be that you do have a conscience, or —

Could it be that you did such a terrible job that your bosses said

It’s time to say good-bye?

National Marine Fisheries — I want you to remember —

Every time you eat a piece of fish

It was those hard-working fishermen that provided you

With this dish.

National Marine Fisheries — I don’t want you to be a snob.

I want you to remember all the fishermen in this country.

If it weren’t for them —

You wouldn’t have your job.

CAPT. JAMES F. PARISI
