Letter: Senior center knows no ethnic bounds

To the editor:

This Polish lady had one of the best corned beef and cabbage dinners on St. Patrick’s Day at the senior center in Rockport.

Director Diane Bertolino, Meals Manager Freda Collins, did a outstanding job, and comedian Mel Simons told Irish jokes and stories with time for trivia. (I won a WBZ pen because I knew the Irish tenor who saying on Jack Benny’s radio show; It was Dennis Day.)

I wish that more senior citizens would come to the luncheons at the seniors Monday through Friday.

They are so much fun!

KATHERINE M. “KAY” MURPHY
