Letter: 'Thank you' to all for nabbing terror suspect

To the editor:

A resounding “thank you” and “well done” call should go out to all the law enforcement agencies — the Boston police, FBI, Massachusetts State Police, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms — and the emergency first responders for their unexpected rapid capture, alive, of half of the young terrorist duo.

I for one, do not believe, that anyone thought this latest terror attack on American soil would be brought to such a quick end. However, it leaves me wondering why it took these same law enforcement agencies 16 years to capture Whitey Bulger. Was it Whitey’s years of experience, evading authorities, or just the youth and inexperience that allowed law enforcement to track them down so quickly?

How many more would be dead, had this pair had the experience of age? The IEDs — improvised explosive devices — were already prepared and ready to use.
