Letter: Don't 'sequester' money for air safety

To the editor:

In Tom Dalton’s article about sequestration (The Times, Saturday, March 2), I provided some comments on its effects on Beverly Municipal Airport. I mentioned that closing the control tower will jeopardize aviation safety, kill jobs, and create more noise complaints.

If your readers would like to help stop the closing, I recommend they Google U.S. Sen. Mo Cowan, U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Congressman John Tierney and Aviation Subcommittee member Congressman Michael Capuano and urge them via their email to identify other savings in FAA’s air traffic budget before they close our tower.
