Regarding the flap over the flying of the Rainbow flag at Grant Circle, many times people will innocently fly a national flag under the American flag to show their national heritage.
There is nothing wrong with being proud of one’s ethnicity. However, protocol dictates that the American flag be on a staff of its own.
There should not be another national, state/provincial, corporate or “fantasy” flag on the same staff.
The one and only exception is the black-and-white POW-MIA flag.
