Letter: Celebrating the nights of open mikes

To the editor:

This Monday promises to be the Monday of all Mondays as an incredible array of talent turns out for a special anniversary jam celebrating 10 years of Dan King’s hosting the Monday open mic nights at Gloucester’s Rhumbline.

Dan has managed to extend the weekend here on Cape Ann with the Monday sessions, one of the most interesting and exciting musical events on the island.

The number of high level players makes for a virtual musical Olympics, except that everyone here comes out a gold medal winner — including you when you join in the good time.

Come early, because the night begins at 8:30 p.m. with the superstar group, the Bandit Kings, all members recruited by Dan from the best of the best at the Monday night sessions.

I know I’m looking forward to it – see you there!
