Letter: O'Donnell remains right choice for Essex

To the editor:

I’d like to take a minute to offer my support for Lisa O’Donnell, who is running for re-election to the selectboard in Essex.

When Lisa ran for her first term as selectman, I vigorously supported her as well. I can remember speaking in behalf of her candidacy to a group of Essex residents, stating that I was absolutely sure that she was the right person for the job.

Now, several years later, I am even more convinced that her integrity, temperament, intelligence, experience and work ethic is just what Essex needs to see it through these complex and challenging times.

Essex is facing its most difficult challenge in resolving the Conomo Point issue, as well as long-term planning for the town and upgrading of its aging municipal buildings.

Lisa has worked tirelessly on all three fronts serving on the Conomo Point Planning Committee, the Long Term Planning Committee and heading the Town Building Committee in addition to her regular duties with the Board of Selectmen.

This demonstration of dedication to Essex should not be ignored when we go to the poles on May 13th Please vote to re-elect Lisa O’Donnell; she is absolutely the right person for the job.

BOB COVIELLO
