Letter: Friends and life's harsh realities

To the editor:

Most of one’s life these days is about living happily and enjoying your friends as much as possible.

As one gets older, and remembers the hardships one has endured along the way, he or she can turn to their friends, and they will speak of the good times you had together in the past days.

As the years pass by, sickness and bad days with bad health can lead you to a nursing home, and dementia and Alzheimer’s can set in as well. That’s sad but a reality.

Enjoy your friends while you can.
