Letter: Maine lawmaker backs Tierney

To the editor:

Over the past two years, I have had the pleasure to work with Congressman John Tierney.

John has encouraged President Obama to bring a World Trade case forward against China, and the president listened. The United States is now holding China accountable for their unfair trade practices.

Congressman Tierney’s voice for the middle and working class is strong. He knows they are key to a prosperous economy, is enforcing fair trade policies and saving American manufacturing jobs from being shipped overseas.

Now is the time to elect those who have a proven track record of supporting American manufacturing. Congressman John Tierney is that person.
