To the editor:
If you have seen the ads for Stephen Lynch’s senatorial campaign ( “I am Stephen Lynch” ), you no doubt are familiar with this slogan.
He worked a blue-collar job — many stories off the ground I might add). He spent eight years working his way through college at night. He knows what it is like to be laid off. This is very similar to my path. So I am Stephen Lynch and, yes, he is one of us. I want someone in the Senate who can relate to the “common” man or women and who understands what it is to struggle in life and what it takes to make a better world for yourself and others.
This compressed race began with the first Democrat to announce his intentions to run and a quick coronation of that person by the “establishment” of the party. We need a committed fighter and down to earth person in our next U.S. senator. It is my hope that the voters do not sit this one out and get out to the polls on Tuesday, April 30 — and most importantly, cast their vote for Stephen Lynch. When you look at his bio you may just see that you are Stephen Lynch, too.
