Letter: Windsor Lane neighbors thank firefighters

To the editor:

We are the neighbors of the 4 Windsor Lane fire that occurred this past Saturday, and are writing on behalf of our family and neighborhood.

Although we all lost a beloved friend and neighbor, we are thankful that we did not lose more. If it was not for the speed of the Gloucester Fire and Police departments, we would be mourning the loss of not only our dear friend, but of our homes and potentially other loved ones.

Not only was their promptness to the scene a welcome relief, but their conduct during and after the blaze was beyond what we could ask for. With professional demeanors, they handed out smiles of comfort and an occasional laugh.

This being our first experience utilizing 911, we are beyond grateful for such a sufficient response network that went above and beyond all prior expectations.

Once again, we want to thank the Gloucester Fire and Police departments.

Thank you.

LORI, PAUL, CHELSEA and KINSEY OSBORN

and the Windsor Lane neighborhood,

Gloucester
