Playing for the community

Local musicians practice to entertain crowd

The Cape Ann Community Band is offering a free concert next month and members and are now rehearsing.

The Cape Ann Community BandFeatures and Soloists Concert will be held on Sunday, Aug. 19, at 7 p.m. at the Antonio Gentile Bandstand in Stage Fort Park, Gloucester. The concert is part of the series of free summer concerts held at the Antonio Gentile Bandstand in Stage Fort Park.

The Cape Ann Community Band rehearses for six weeks on Mondays from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 2 Washington St. in Gloucester. Rehearsals began July 9.
