Senior Menus

SeniorCare serves this lunch menu this week to seniors 60 and older:

Friday, July 6 — Vegetable soup, sliced turkey, pasta salad, dried fruit

Monday, July 9 — Potato crunch fish, Lyonnaise potato, mixed vegetables, pears

Tuesday, July 10 — Dijon-crusted pork, cheddar whipped potatoes, buttered carrots, fresh fruit

Wednesday, July 11 — Eggplant rollatini, spaghetti, summer squash, fresh melon

Thursday, July 12 — Meat loaf with mushrooms, mashed potato, green beasn, mint parfait

Friday, July 13 — Chicken salad, potato salad, vegetable salad, brownie

Skim milk and controlled-sugar dessert available. Meals are served at:

Rose Baker Senior Center: 978-281-0081

McPherson Park: 978-283-3141

Sheedy Park: 978-281-5128

Rockport Community House, 58 Broadway: 978-546-5027

Lunch is served Monday to Friday at 11:30 a.m. Reservations are required and a donation of $2 is requested. For details on home-delivered meals or to volunteer, call SeniorCare's Nutrition Program at 978-281-1750.

In the billowing arms of a sweetened omelet, local strawberries leave shortcake for Escoffier. A little lighter, a little more epicurean than strawberry shortcake, a dessert omelet filled with strawberries is as delicious as it is angelically light.
