Taste of Cape Ann nets over $4K

More than 250 diners sampled dishes and beverages from more than two dozen participating vendors at last week’s Taste of Cape Ann — and, in the process, netted more than $4,000 for two local nonprofit agencies.

The fourth annual “Taste,” hosted by the Gloucester Daily Times,, Cape Ann magazine and Taste of the Times, generated proceeds for both The Open Door food pantry and human services agency and for Cape Ann Animal Aid, which moved into its new shelter last year.

The nonprofit beneficiaries, however, weren’t the only winners.

Pamela Owen won the Samsung Galaxy Tab2 and Belkin Chef Stand with Stylus in the drawing sponsored by the Taste of the Times, which was among the exhibitors at the event.

Congratulations, Pamela – and thanks to all who made this year’s Taste of Cape Ann another glowing success.
