Champagne Margarita

The perfect New Year's Eve drink

In this special New Year’s Eve edition of “What’s Your Pleasure” with Bill Jaques, learn how to make this year’s New Year’s Eve party something special with the Champagne Margarita.

By combining two delicious and popular drinks, your guests will still be able to have the traditional New Years Eve champagne, but with a punch of that margarita lime.

The sweetness of the lime and sugar, along with the champagne, helps to off set the bite of the alcohol, without being too sweet. To prepare, simply shake the sugar, lime juice, tequila and triple sec in a speed cup, then fill a glass half way with the margarita mix then top the rest off with the champagne.

Ring in the New Year with the Champagne Margarita. Your guests will love this simple bubbly beverage that is very light and quite elegant.

2 cups ice

2 teaspoons sugar

2 ounces fresh lime juice

6 ounces ounces tequila

1 ounce triple sec

1 bottle champagne

1. Fill a speed cup with ice, then add in the sugar, lime juice, tequila and triple sec. Shake and then strain into a margarita glass.

2. Fill a glass half way with the margarita mix then top it off with the champagne.
