Linda Amero-Menage a Trio, 7 to 10 p.m., The Franklin Cafe, Main Street Gloucester. Jazz standards from vocalist Amero, pianist Steve Heck and bassist Todd Baker.

Jackleg Preachers, 9 p.m., Minglewood Tavern, 25 Rogers St. Gloucester. Blues, jazz, soul.

Local 28, 9 p.m., The Madfish Grille, 77 Rocky Neck Ave., Gloucester. From the Dead to The Stones, Bob Marley to Dire Straits.

SATURDAY, June 9

Celtic music session, 5 to 8 p.m. Dog Bar, 65 Main St., Gloucester. In the style of an Irish house or pub "seisiun," Michael O'Leary, Steve Levy, Lin Swicker and David de la Barre host an acoustic session of mostly traditional songs and tunes from the Celtic countries.

The Othership, 9 p.m., Minglewood Tavern, 25 Rogers St. Gloucester. Jam and Grateful Dead cover band.

Joe Thomas, 9 p.m. to close, Giuseppe's Ristorante and Piano Bar, corner of Main and Washington streets, Gloucester. At the piano bar.

The Bandit Kings and Andrea Gillis Band, 9 p.m., The Madfish Grille, 77 Rocky Neck Ave., Gloucester. Two rock bands led by female vocalists.

Alek Razdan and A-Train, 9 p.m. to midnight, The Rhumb Line, 41 Railroad Ave., Gloucester. Alek Razdan on saxes and vocals, dad Rikki Razdan on saxes, Ken Demaine on bass, Dave "Doc" Vincent on drums, and Dan Whalen on guitar. The band plays an eclectic mix of jump-blues and swing.

SUNDAY, June 10

Daniel Chauvin, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., playing at Seaward Inn, 44 Marmion Way, Rockport, Acoustic folk rock and country.

Special guests Jeff Galindo on trombone and pianisJoe Barbatojoin drummer and vocalist Al Boudreau and vocalist Barbara Boudreau for two sets of American jazz from the Great American Songbook.

Celtic music sunset sail, 6 to 8:30 p.m., schooner Thomas E. Lannon, Seven Seas Wharf, Rogers Street, Gloucester.
