---- — The Board of Directors of the Gloucester Council on Aging, spearheaded by Jay Gustaferro and Barry Mckay, recently announced a new program at the Rose Baker Senior Center, “Restaurant Meals for Seniors.”

Gloucester House Restaurant was the first to provide a grand meal on May 23, and 75 seniors enjoyed a lunch served without cost, at the downtown senior center.

On Tuesday, executive chef Zach Sears of Latitude 43 prepared a complete baked fish luncheon for 75 seniors.

A delicious meal, Bonnie Barish performing on the piano, flowers on the tables provided by Barry and Diane McKay, and the overall friendly ambiance between diners, made for a festive and enjoyable experience.

Serving the meal were Sears, Gustaferro, McKay, Hank Camille, Fred Cowan, Jason Troubetaris, and Barbara Cranston.

Latitude 43, located on Rogers Street, will be serving seniors again in September.

Local restaurants are invited to take part in this popular growing program that brings a selection of menu items to the Rose Baker Senior Center for seniors to enjoy a taste of choice restaurant offerings. Interested chefs may contact the center at 978-281-9765.
