Each week, more than 200 children take swimming lessons at the Cape Ann YMCA in Gloucester.
Besides classes for children, the Y offers lessons for people ages 6 months through adulthood in its 6-lane, 25 yard pool.
The lessons incorporate personal safety, self-rescue, boating safety and swimming skills.
