THURSDAY, Dec. 6

FRIDAY, Dec. 7

Linda Amero’s Menage a Trio, 7 to 10 p.m, Downstairs @ Franklin Cafe, 118 Main St., Gloucester. Jazz standards with Amero on vocals, Jack Senier on piano, and Marc Pucci on bass.

The Runaround, 9 p.m. to midnight, The Rhumb Line, 41 Railroad Ave., Gloucester. Reggae, ska and funk.

SATURDAY, Dec. 8

Joe Blanchard, 6 to 9 p.m., The Parlor Restaurant at Emerson Inn By The Sea, Rockport. Joe will play original piano compositions with a classical influence and new age twist.

Overboard, 7:30 p.m., Old Sloop Coffeehouse, First Congregational Church of Rockport, 12 School St. Overboard, nominated for 10 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards and 18 A Cappella Community Awards in the last three years, will include some of its renowned Christmas music in the show. Tickets, $12, will be available at the door; discounted prices for juniors, seniors, and families; $10 in advance at oldsloopcoffeehouse.org, Gloucester Music, and Toad Hall Bookstore in Rockport.

Groove Therapy, 9 p.m. to midnight, The Rhumb Line, 41 Railroad Ave., Gloucester. Reggae, ska and funk.

SUNDAY, Dec. 9

Celtic Music Session, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Dog Bar, 65 Main St., Gloucester. Michael O’Leary, Steve Levy, Linda Swicker and David de la Barre host an acoustic session of mostly traditional songs and tunes from the Celtic countries.

Soulful Strings, 7 p.m., Unitarian Universalist Church, on Middle Street at Church Street. Guitarist Ken Bonfield and cellist Kristen Miller will perform holiday Celtic, American folk, Delta blues, and jazz. $12 at door.

Allen Estes & Orville Giddings, 9 p.m. to midnight, The Rhumb Line, 41 Railroad Ave., Gloucester. Original acoustic folk, rock and country.

THURSDAY, Dec. 13

North Shore Voice Competition, 7 to 10 p.m., Giuseppe’s Ristorante and Piano Bar, corner of Main and Washington streets, Gloucester. Round 5.
