'Dancing with the Stars' to crown new champ

NEW YORK (AP) — Mya, Donny Osmond and Kelly Osbourne will soon find out who is the new champion of "Dancing with the Stars."

The winner will be chosen Tuesday evening in the two-hour finale of the ninth season of the ABC show.

The singer Mya scored 87 out of 90 points in her three dances Monday with professional partner Dmitry Chaplin. Osmond finished second with 85 points, and Osbourne landed in third with 76 points.

It's been an eventful season for the show. Most notable was former Congressman Tom DeLay's brief appearance. He withdrew from the competition in the program's third week.

ABC can expect high ratings for Tuesday's finale. Last week's results show attracted an audience of 16.2 million.

The gymnast Shawn Johnson won last season's "Dancing with the Stars."
