Letter: Community spirit shines on SeniorCare

Gloucester Daily Times

---- — To the Editor:

SeniorCare Inc. is enormously grateful again this year for the continued support of the Grammas family and the staff at Lobsta Land Restaurant in Gloucester.

Another successful SeniorCare Annual fund-raiser breakfast took place there on Oct. 23, resulting in funds that can be directly applied to the care of elders and disabled adults in all the nine communities that we serve.

We thank the public officials who took time from their busy schedules to participate, and we appreciate the loyalty displayed by many folks, who have been supporting us for decades, and who did so again this year. We also appreciated the many newcomers, for whom we hope this will become a beloved tradition.

As noted by one of our guests, “There was such a community spirit – it was like a big house party.”

It is an honor and privilege to be surrounded by such neighborliness in what is, for many people, a period of hard times. We want to express heartfelt thanks to all who participated in this event, knowing how much it means for those in deepest need.
