Pictures from the sky

Lately the weather has provided good conditions for kite flying.

Elise Amendola of North Andover and her wife Mary Schwalm, a staff photographer for the Times' sister paper The Eagle-Tribune, decided to take advantage when the two had last Friday off.

They brought a kite and camera to Gloucester and Rockport to experiment a bit.

Schwalm attached a GoPro, a tiny, shockproof and waterproof digital camera, to Amendola's kite to take photos from the air.
