Baby grand to come out for last Harbor Loop show

---- — The Harbor Loop concert series will have its final show in Gloucester this evening, and it will have a circusy flair.

The free show, titled “Piano Bar,” and featuring the popular local band called What Time is it Mr. Fox?, starts at 6:30 at Fitz Henry Lane Park off of Harbor Loop.

“We are thrilled to be part of the summer concert series at Harbor Loop. We don’t often get to do all ages outdoor events right on the water, so we’re excited about that,” said band member Brian King. “And there will be a baby grand piano on stage. How often does that happen?”

It is rumored that a trapezist may make an appearance, kicking the show up a notch.

As of late, the band has been describing its music as “baroque pop and ‘60s soul inside a steampunk trunk.”

The band members for the Harbor Loop show are King on vocals, piano and guitar; Nathan Cohen on violin and trumpet; Mike Leggio on upright bass; Dennis Monagle on drums; and Lori Perkins on Hammond organ and piano. The Furies, who provide the background vocals, are Elizabeth Bean, Norah Solorzano, Ruth Lingford and Shana Cahill.
