A weekend of music in Manchester

For three days, there will be live music performed in Manchester by a variety of singer-songwriters and bands, including a day-long extravaganza.

The music begins Friday, Oct. 25, at 9 p.m. at The Landing at 7 Central, featuring the Connecticut-based singer-songwriter, Brian Jarvis, who will perform covers and originals from his 2012 release, “Beautifully Broken.” He will be a familiar face for those who attended his performance at the Crowell Chapel in support of Brendan James. In addition to James, Jarvis has toured with Sister Hazel and Stephen Kellogg, among others. There is no cover for this evening of music; reservations are suggested.

A special nine-hour day of live music — including a Halloween Extravaganza and costume party — takes place Saturday, Oct. 26, at The Landing at 7 Central. The music starts at 3 p.m., with this lineup: 3 p.m., Alexandra Valenti; 4:30 p.m., Charlee Bianchini; 6 p.m., Inge Berge; 7:30 p.m., Joe Wilkins; and at 9 p.m., the band Just Like Newman will host The Landing’s annual Halloween bash with cover songs, costumes, and prizes. There is no cover for the event, but reservations are suggested.

The music culminates on Sunday evening, Oct. 27, at 7 at Crowell Chapel with the popular baroque pop and soul band “What Time Is It, Mr. Fox?,” which will celebrate the season with a night of songs about ghosts, witches, vampires, murder, and love. Singer-songwriter-cellist Kristen Miller will open.

This band features Cape Ann musicians Brian King on voice and guitar, Nathan Cohen on violin and trumpet, Mike Leggio on upright bass, Lori Perkins on piano, and background vocals by The Furies. Tickets are $15 and available at or at the door.
