GLOUCESTER FIREWORKS CANCELED

Gloucester's Fourth of July fireworks, scheduled for tonight following the annual Fishtown Horribles Parade, have been canceled due to weather conditions.

There is no rain date. However, the presentation will be "doubled up' on Labor Day weekend in conjunction with the Schooner Festival, Gloucester Police confirmed.

The Horrible Parade tonight is going on as scheduled, having stepped off from Gloucester High School shortly after 6 p.m. Look to tomorrow's print and online editions of the Gloucester Daily Times and gloucestertimes.com for Fishtown Horribles story and photo coverage.
