Fish landings

Gloucester Seafood Display Auction

The Gloucester Seafood Display Auction handled 23,500 pounds of fish on Monday.

The average price per pound of the top five species sold:

Market cod: 9,800 pounds (98 cents)

Large cod: 3,900 pounds ($1.14)

Large monktail: 1,500 pounds ($2.68)

Blackbacks: 1,000 pounds ($1.83)

Scaler: 1,000 pounds (43 cents)

Other landings

The Whaling City Seafood Display Auction handled 62,300 pounds of fish in New Bedford and 18,300 pounds of fish in Boston yesterday.

No landings were reported at the New England Fish Exchange Auction in Boston yesterday.

The Portland, Maine, Display Auction handled 54,700 pounds of fish Wednesday.
