Gas siphoned from postal truck in Essex

ESSEX — A U.S. Postal Service employee called police Monday afternoon to report that someone had siphoned gasoline from one of the delivery trucks at the Post Office on Martin Street.

According to police, the employee said the vehicle was filled with fuel on Saturday, and the tank was completely empty by 3 p.m. Monday.

Police are investigating.
