Rockport Police/Fire: False fire alarm brings RFD response

ROCKPORT — Police said firefighters responded to a smoke alarm sounding on Curtis Street Monday at 1:14 p.m.

Responders, however, found it to be a false alarm.

Police responded to a noise complaint on Monday just before 9 p.m. on Sandy Bay Terrace. A resident had called about children playing outside her building, police said.

A woman on Curtis Street was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester Monday.
