Gloucester District Court: Charge of driving into house continued

Charges of leaving the scene of property damage brought against a Gloucester man, after he allegedly drove into a house on East Main Street, were continued in Gloucester District Court yesterday.

Judge Joseph Jennings continued the charge without a finding, brought against Daniel Green, 27, of 3 Swinson Way for 6 months.

Police filed a criminal complaint against Green for leaving the scene of property damage after they responded to a car accident at a house at 78 East Main St. Green’s car had struck the house and he had fled, according to police reports. Later that day Green came into the station and said he struck the house when he looked down at his cell phone while driving.

Jennings also dismissed a trespassing charge brought against Christopher Rooney, 53, of no known address in Gloucester, on payment of $200 in court costs, in court on Tuesday.
